The Sneaker culture in Kenya has continued to grow in the country and this can be proven by the increased entry of sneaker brands into the market; Nike, Adidas, Converse, Puma and the local sneaker manufacturers – Enda Sportswear
12th December 2016 gives us an opportunity to taste the good feeling of sneakers in a classy, sophisticated way. I am talking about the sneaker conference Kenya event that will be going down inside Alchemist-the yard in westlands. The first edition went down a few months ago and it took its place as the biggest sneaker showcase event in East Africa.
Beautiful people attended, good music played in the background, buying, selling and trading went down like never before.
Vendors as well as patrons are allowed to trade sneakers with each other. They are the ones to agree upon the terms of trade. A section is designated for those who would like to swap or trade their sneakers during the event.
Every single person who attends the event is allowed to freely participate in the purchase of an unrestricted amount of pairs of shoes that they may be interested in. There is always a wide range of footwear on sale by different vendors at the event. Vendors are allowed to bring in their own merchandise for the purpose of sale for profit. The vendors are divided into three main groups, Major Brands/Franchises, Small Scale Traders and Individuals, each group being allocated an area in which to trade.
1. The first group will consist of major brands or franchisees of major brands. 2. The second group will consist of local traders within the shoe industry who are well known for selling authentic sneakers. 3. The final group consists of individuals who simply have a pair or two that they wish to trade or sell to the attendees of the event
Mark your calendars. It shall be going down!
